Truth, Errors, and Lies: Politics and Economics in a Volatile World

In this talk, Professor Grzegorz W. Kolodko will draw on research from his latest book, Truth, Errors, and Lies: Politics and Economics in a Volatile World (Columbia University Press, 2011). The book presents a critical analysis of the neoliberalism that dominated policymaking in the last quarter of the twentieth century. He will discuss alternative approaches to economic policy, and how they could change the rules of the economic game. Professor Kolodko is a professor of political economy at Kozminski University and former Polish Deputy Premier and Minister of Finance.
