Cool Earth 50 and Renewable Energy; Atsushi Kurosawa
The Japanese Prime Minister’s initiative on global warming, “Cool Earth 50” was announced in May 2007. It proposes the long-term objective of reducing global greenhouse gas emissions by half of the current level by 2050. As part of this initiative, a survey was conducted on what specific measures can be taken to develop innovative energy technologies to meet the 2050 target. The presentation will introduce the results, focusing on an energy technology portfolio and the role of renewable technologies in low carbon future scenarios.
